Why's that then ? Genuine question, as I don't know too much about him.

Re: Terry Westley
Seeing as we produced 1 player of note in the 15 years years before he joined, and looking at the set up now, he has done some fantastic work for the club.

Cheers, Terry son.

Need to trade up, 1 player every 10 years isn't up to much

Re: Terry Westley
Was slaughtered and rightly so for keeping his own 23 year old son at the club, who was quite clearly not even a footballer, (2 years later still not playing at any level).

2 youth player did step up to the premier league this season under his watch.

Lets call it evens. Now. Jog on.

Can we move on without the dodgy nepotism in future?

I doubt it.

I worked with his wife, she's lovely.

Re: Terry Westley
He replaced Tony Carr who has a far superior record of developing young players.

Re: Terry Westley
Terry, after the golden age of half the England team we produced, in the 15 years after we produced Noble and Tomkins.

It needed freshening up, and the fruits of Westley's labour is bearing fruit, and we look like having a few that will join Declan as first teamers.

This hate on the man is a bit pathetic, and has no substance behind it at all. So what he gave his son a job, we'd all do the same, he'd have been on peanuts anyway.

mart o the incident with his son was an absolute disgrace

Re: Terry Westley
Following Carr in West Ham yoot is like following Ferguson at Man U, impossible to mirror the predecessors achievements.

Got a new job or sacked?

Isn’t he related by marriage to one of the board or something?

Re: Terry Westley
Really, ERN?

Is it REALLY a disgrace?

If that's the worst he's done, giving his son some low paid work, then fucking hell.

I prefer to look at how well he has done for the club, and he has transformed our youth set up, which was fucking stagnant beyond belief.

Re: Terry Westley
how many have made the first team, that he developed apart from declan, and arguably chelsea did quite a bit of that work? you think diangana is poor, so who else?

Re: Terry Westley
Westley was about as far from Tony Carr as you are going to get, he was only given the job because of his links to Gold & Sullivan at Birmingham. He has done an ok job and will get more jobs on the back of Declan Rice, but personally I'd much prefer someone either known by Pellegrini or better yet, with direct links to the West Ham 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s way of thinking to be in charge of youth development.

Iron Duke 9:38 Wed May 8
Re: Terry Westley
I whole academy has fallen behind in the last 10 years. It has been neglected and is one of the biggest failings under Sullivan and Gold. We used to be famed for our academy. We got lucky with Rice.

It has little to do with Westley. Our youth system was already suffering with Carr there.
